What is Karma House?
Karma House is a hub for inked out weirdos with big hearts. It’s for the black sheep to flock together and connect on all things tattoo, dance, charity work, and spirituality. The space was founded because the Ubud spiritual scene could be sorta cringe, and saw the need for a space for people who love to a way to connect to their higher selves AND also be badass, get inked, and give back.
We exist to provide expression through art, self development, and service through tattoos, dance, and a damn good cup of chai. We are the only Good Karma Tattoo Temple, Dance & Events Space, and Chai Bar with legendary Indian Street Food in Bali.
Tattoo Temple
With world class local and international tattoo artists, we aim to provide a Bali tattoo experience with western standards of hygiene and professionalism.
We use 100% non-toxic vegan ink and pride ourselves on our customer service and connection to clients.
We are the only tattoo shop in Bali that offers good karma tattoos by supporting a school for mentally disabled Balinese children and we are the only ones to offer Balinese ceremonial tattoos with a resident priestess there to bring intentional blessings into tattoo experiences on request.
Chai Bar
We have the best chai in Bali, yeah you heard us. Come in and try our Zaffrani Chai, and ordered some legendary Indian Street Food and significantly improve your day.
Our menu is the work of culinary master Deepak Metha who’s an award winning Vedic chef, and our AC cooled lounge space is the perfect spot to work, hang out, or wait to get inked!
Dance school
Karma House Dance School & Events Space:
Expression through movement and the join of connection in the Ubud dance community.
Our large dance space upstairs is mirrored on two large walls, AC cooled, and has a great sound system. Perfect for private Sensual Embodiment classes, Twerkshops, or whatever workshop makes us better humans.
Charity Work
The business is built on the principles of Seva, meaning that selfless giving is part of this business’s DNA. We exist to make a positive impact in the community, to bring people together to do good. Karma House is always looking for good causes to collaborate with, because being selfess is sexy.
Founder Story
Bali saved Aren Bahia’s life.
Our founder was living the opposite of a shanti-shanti lifestyle, one that was destined to end up in bad news… Until Julia Roberts saved his life.
Aren watched Eat, Pray, Love after doing a plant medicine ceremony and ended up in Ubud, Bali 3 days later and wound up doing a yoga teacher training that changed his life forever.
Not only did he sell everything he owned in Vancouver, Canada and move to Ubud, Bali - he devoted his life to making a positive impact in the world around him, bringing people together, and doing some real good. His guiding principles in life became: Give. Connect. Inspire.
Karma House follows suit and exists to give back to the island, connect with the community and our clients, and inspire people to live a life full of love and service.
